On the last day of term we held the Open Day in the grounds of the school. Many prospective parents came to see the school in action, and we heard many positive comments about the school from parents who were checking out the options for education in Mayapur.
After the first two lessons were over we finished classes for the day and held a big stage program in the pandal tent erected on the oval. The performances were many and varied, with some lovely devotional dramas set to music by the primary classes, exciting mrdanga and tai chi displays by the older students, the Jaganatha band which got everyone dancing, and even a guest spot by well-known ISKCON musician Titiksava Karunika Prabhu. The Cambridge certificate graduates also received their certificates from His Holiness Bhakti Purushottama Swami and Sesa Prabhu, the ISKCON Minister for education. Sesa Prabhu gave a very encouraging speech, saying how he was very happy with how the school is developing.
